Gluten Free Lottery rules

  1. The cost of each entry is £1. Players may purchase more than one entry, and payment must be in advance. Entry is open to all residents of the UK but excludes Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Overseas (non UK Residents), Coeliac UK employees and third parties directly involved in the administration or management of the Gluten Free Lottery.
  2. Not to be sold by or to anyone under 18 years of age. Any person found to be under 18 years of age automatically forfeits the right to any prize.
  3. Your unique lottery number(s) will be generated and confirmed by post within 30 days. Your number(s) will remain the same each week. No ticket will be supplied.
  4. The weekly draw will be conducted every Friday. The draw will be conducted by a random number generator which will select a six digit number (the winning number). Only lottery numbers for players with sufficient credit at the time of the draw will be eligible for prizes. Late or missed payments may result in players’ lottery numbers not being eligible for every draw.
  5. The winning number will be published on the Gluten Free Lottery website https://lottery.coeliac.org.uk/winners and will be available from the Gluten Free Lottery Hotline on 01628 201 287. Results will be available from the next working day following the draw.
  6. Winning combinations will be for player’s lottery numbers which match three or more of the digits in the correct position within the winning number. There are no alternatives to any prize and no interest will be payable. If you pay by Direct Debit prizes will be paid directly into your bank account, otherwise a cheque will be sent within 21 days.
  7. Prizes and the odds of winning are as follows: Match 6 numbers in order for prize of £10,000. Match 5 numbers in order for prize of £1,000. Match 4 numbers in order for prize of £25. Match 3 numbers in order for prize of £5. Overall chance of winning a prize each week with one entry is 63 to 1.
  8. Of the £245,589.00 received in ticket sales from 2022, 20% went on expenses, 20% on prizes and a fantastic 60% came back to Coeliac UK to fund our work.
  9. All profits from the Gluten Free Lottery go to Coeliac UK to continue funding the charities work and to help people live well gluten free. 
  10. Coeliac UK is not responsible for any delays in bank payments.
  11. No liability is accepted for loss, theft or delayed receipt of any communication sent by post.
  12. Coeliac UK or its External Lottery Manager may (without giving any reason or notice) decline to accept an application, cancel an existing subscription or terminate or suspend the lottery scheme. Coeliac UK or its External Lottery Manager’s decisions made regarding the rules shall, once made, be final and binding. No detail in an application may be changed in any way once it has been submitted, except for contact details such as change of address.
  13. The rules are subject to change by Coeliac UK or its External Lottery Manager. Copies of the latest rules will be published on https://lottery.coeliac.org.uk/rules 
  14. Coeliac UK is committed to ensure that information about how to gamble responsibly and how to access information and help in respect of problem gambling is readily available to all.   15. The maximum number of entries for an individual in each weekly draw is five.

“Refer a friend” terms and conditions

Any eligible, current member of the Gluten Free Lottery may be contacted by Coeliac UK to take part in this promotion which will allow them to invite other individuals to play the Gluten Free Lottery. Participation in this promotion is governed by these Terms and Conditions;

Any Gluten Free Lottery Member who receives a personalised Referral link via email can invite friends and family to join the Gluten Free Lottery in line with the following rules.

  • You send the Referral Link in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Data Protection and Privacy and Electronic Communications laws (e.g. the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation))
  • You fairly and lawfully hold and use the Personal Data relating to the individuals to whom you send the Referral Link
  • The individuals to whom you send the Referral Link are aged 18 and over and are not a Gluten Free Lottery Member
  • You don't charge any individuals who are recipients of Referral Link, nor offer money, provide anything of value in exchange, or other reward schemes in order to restrict or encourage them to join the Gluten Free Lottery
  • Your communication in which you send the Referral Link and/or containing the Referral Link does not contain pornographic content or contain any other offensive, misleading or disparaging material
  • You will not place the Referral Link on websites, social media, emails or any other locations or communication which are using money as reward schemes or which are promoting gambling, pornographic content, or contain any other offensive, misleading or disparaging material
  • You cannot refer yourself

Eligibility for the referred individual:

  • You reside in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, who the referrer invites the individual to join the Gluten Free Weekly Lottery
  • You must be aged 18 or over, as required by the terms and conditions of the lottery program
  • You may not already be a member of the Gluten Free Lottery
  • You must have a valid email address
  • You must sign up to the Gluten Free Lottery and play by Direct Debit

Rewards:

Rewards are limited to one per member.

A Referrer will receive one Coeliac UK goody bag if;

  • All of the eligibility criteria is met and
    • A Referred individual signs up to the Gluten Free Lottery using their Referral code
    • A Referred individual makes a successful direct debit payment for their membership

A Referred individual will receive one Coeliac UK goody bag if;

  • All of the eligibility criteria is met and
    • They sign up to the Gluten Free Lottery using a valid Referral code
    • They make a successful direct debit payment for their membership
